APPEAL of Eaglehawk Development Design Downgrades this Wed Jan 9 6pm at City Hall.

posted Jan 6, 2019, 8:27 PM by Richard Llewellyn

Our neighborhood is appealing the design review decision to allow the six-plexes currently under construction near Magnolia Park and Shadow Hills Elementary to reduce the amount of stone used on the exteriors, and to replace a steel gazebo that will provide sun and weather protection to the occupants with a bare bones wooden trellis that looks designed only to check the box for a required 'amenity' for new multifamily developments. While these are, relatively, details -- the aesthetics do make a difference in how we perceive our neighborhood changing, and whether development is proceeding in a planned fashion that tries to fit in to the existing land-and-cityscapes, or whether it is haphazard and prone to downgrades when builders have cost overruns. We want new development to fit into our natural environment as much as possible, and a stone exterior works toward that goal.

Come join us for the appeal this Wednesday night to support our neighborhood!
